Desolate Newtown

Desolate Newtown is a series of photographs I took one night around the back streets of Newtown, Sydney. The idea of deserted – or at least empty – locations fascinates me and is something that I’ve noticed pervades a lot of my work. Although I become highly self-conscious when someone actually walks by while I’m setting up for a shot, as if I’m doing something wrong.
