Plastic Palms

Congratulations to director and VFX artist Sandy Widyanata for getting her short Plastic into the Palm Springs film festival. The amount of work in this film is phenomenal, combining high-resolution 3D body scans with live action and compositing techniques that required entire shots having to be roto’d and morphed frame-by-frame. The festival will be the film’s world premiere. My role on the film was VFX assistant supervisor under the brilliant Matt Mackareth who I would later go on working for on the upcoming animated short, The Red Kite.
