Morning Mist

Morning Mist

Woke up this morning, looked out the window to see a beautiful mist hanging in the valley, grabbed my camera, took some shots… and went back to bed for a few more hours. It is, after all, a Saturday morning. Flickr.

Tycho: Adrift

-->

tycho singles

There’s a really nice new single from Tycho (a.k.a. iso50, Scott Hansen, and probably some other pseudonyms) that’s out. I’m a big fan of down-tempo electronica like Boards of Canada, with lots of analogue sounds and processes, and Adrift fits into this genre very nicely. It’s currently only available through the iTunes store and well worth a listen.

Rundle Mall TVC (Again)

-->

The Rundle Mall TVC mentioned previously is now up in the motion gallery. See it here. I’d also love to put up some video from a game cut scene we just finished working on, but due to various legal reasons, I can’t just yet. I’m not even supposed to tell you the name of the game!

Florian Witzel

florian_witzel

The world is a small place. Last year I discovered that there are two degrees of separation between me an Florian Witzel – a super smart CG guy who currently works as a technical director at the always cool New York firm, Psyop. I admire his work, which in some regards reminds me of Chris Cunningham’s work in its aesthetic, but much slicker and more refined. His portfolio has just been updated with a bunch of new clips as well as some interesting breakdowns of the construction of a few of the pieces.

Winter

-->

Winter has well and truly made itself known in the Adelaide hills with torrential downpours over the weekend, washing away the autumn leaves. Being the first weekend I’ve not had any commitments for months I was able to have a wander around the district and take some photos. In doing so, however, I realised how incredibly unfit I’ve become. This is something that will have to be addressed…

Bushlands

Bushlands and Copse can be seen at their full resolution on flickr, along with other photos.
