Now that we’re swinging into full production of the masters films, I’ll be able to keep you up to date with the progress of the film I’m working on more easily. It’s proof that I’m actually working on something (some videos will come soon when they’re mixed and graded).
I’m working on the short, The Red Kite by Matt Mackareth about a girl who one day discoverers a red kite, funnily enough. At the moment I’m basically building the environments of the film, so here are some early test renders of the first room… Please ignore the texture problems…

Ratatouille
-->For those who haven’t seen it yet, you all need to go out right now and watch the latest Pixar film, Ratatouille. It is genius. Pixar somehow manage to pull further and further ahead of the competition in animation with each movie they make. There’s just such a sense of style, design and thought that you don’t see anywhere else. And all without pop-culture references (I’m looking at you, Dreamworks).
Ben=(3^3)-3
-->Happy Birthday to me, and apparently Kevin Rudd.
Tip ‘o the hat also to Bill Murray, HG Wells and Gustav Holst.
A Bit Shirty
-->A friend of mine, Keren who runs springinalaska.com with her partner Noah, put on a big independent t-shirt market the other day. Great day, many tees sold. As usual, images of the event here.
