Geek is the new cool…
At least that’s what people tell me. Or rather, that’s what I tell myself. Went to the launch party of the ABC SecondLife island on Friday night down in Ultimo at the ABC. It’s kinda weird having a few drinks watching a screen with a bunch of characters chatting… it just doesn’t seem right. I mean, maybe if they were having virtual drinks at the same time…
Either way, the ABC island will launch after Four Corners screens on Monday night. Virtual drinks are not included.
I’m transferring from my unit to one on the other side today. Everyone’s cool about it – there’s certainly no animosity felt towards anyone. It’s nothing personal – my flat-mates just like to have parties. Good for them, I say – I just didn’t want to be the Party-Nazi because no-one wins in that situation. So I’m moving all the way to the other side of the village where the utensils are newer and the beds longer. I haven’t compared the shades of grass yet.
We are currently working on some ideas for ABC2 idents, so stay tuned for that – it should be fun, especially for those of you who like Monkey (magic). By the end of this week I should have some actual video to show for a small project we’re working on with Chris and Adam. You know – just to prove that I am actually doing work here and not spending all my time going to bars.
